Spotlight Rev. Jay

We have been working on material for our Theatre Nights and have enjoyed the writings of Reverend Jay Goldstein.  Maren was good enough to contact him and obtain a bio.  Thank you Reverend for taking the time to reply and for the allowing us to use your material.                      ~~~~  Susan

       Reverend Jay Goldstein is an actor/comedian from NYC. Some of his clients have included, Pepsi, Volkswagen, Disney and the NFL. He has worked as a copywriter, a text book editor and a bus driver for a Long Island summer camp.  He has a BA in Communications from Queens college and is an alumnus of Gotham City Improv, where he has taught improv comedy and writing for ten years. Reverend Jay’s work has been performed as far away as Maine, Texas and Australia effectively traveling farther than he has. Rev. Jay is unfortunately not a good enough writer to express how proud and grateful he was to be asked to participate in this event.

Poster for R&J

We have our poster ready!!!  There's always a special feeling when a show's poster is completed and distributed...  Designing is one of my many loves, so taking a stab at poster design has been a fun challenge.  This piece was completely done with Photoshop.  Some of the coolest posters I've ever seen have been done for theater events, as far back as the 19th century all the way through art deco.  Although photoshop has many advantages (if you know your way around it), I still prefer using the ol' paintbrush and pen which I'll probably incorporate in our next show's poster.
