MEET THE COMPANY

Autumn loves living in the moment with her husband Rufus and their daughter Avory.  A New Jersey native, she graduated from USU in Theatre Performance and has become a force to be reckoned with, on and off the stage.  Her work includes To Kill a Mockingbird, You Can't Take it With You, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, among many others.  A consummate alpha mom, Autumn juggles her first love, family, with her second love for the stage.  She enjoys learning new skills to perfect her talents.  Autumn doesn't enjoy being too hot or too cold, but Utah has grown on her.

Rufus finds the world of theatre a fascinating jungle where just about anything can (and usually does) happen.  He is currently studying set and costume design at USU.  He loves to sketch, paint, act, and bust out the occasional unexpected dance move, but at heart Rufus lives to write stories.  Rufus's work includes performing as Dracula in Dracula, Pantaloon in The King Stag and the Bishop of Lax in See How They Run.  Rufus has designed props for The Glass Menagerie and Seussical the Musical, as well as the set for Our Country's Good.  Recently Rufus completed an original play, Mrs. Hill, which was produced on Campus.

Susan is a Utah State alumnus who loves European men and German ice cream.  She tends to burst into song at random moments (not necessarily in key) and gets über excited about yoga and shoes.  Her experience in theatre spans the spectrum of genres and responsibilities.  Some of her favorite projects include:  directing Me and My Friend and Here Lies Jeremy Troy, assistant directing Our Country's Good, assistant stage managing Sweeney Todd and performing as Queen Aggravain in Once Upon a Mattress and Prudence in Beyond Therapy.  Susan is very excited to develop and work with Achtung! as it reaches its full potential.

Maren is a singer, actress, and terminal college student who is addicted to NPR, tea of all origins, and reading about the French Revolution.  She found her calling on the stage as a child and has been an avid performer ever since, making her theatrical debut in Lionel Bart's Oliver!  She has continued to fuel her passion for musical theatre with numerous roles including the Witch in Into the Woods, Edith in Pirates of Penzance, and Portia in Cinderella.  She has also had the opportunity to perform as a company member in several USU operas.  Most recently Maren took her studies to England with a role in Noel Coward's Present Laughter.  She is thrilled to work with Achtung! to expand her skill set and repertoire.

Michael David is a geophysicist at Utah State University by day and a pianist, dancer, and theatre actor by night--also active in comedy improv with the USU Improv Club. Naturally, this fractionated lifestyle requires him to be just a little bit crazy.  A relative newcomer to the world of theatre, he makes up for his lack of experience with enthusiasm, fierce drive, shark-like ambition, and occasionally a bit of luck as well.

Ryan Pence is a freelance videographer, editor, producer, and director, as well as a writer and actor.  He graduated from Utah State with a BA in Theatre Arts and a minor in Broadcast Journalism.  When he's not freelancing he's a contract employee for several local production companies.  Ryan is also a budding game designer and has filmed and directed several national television commercials.  Ryan has enjoyed a long-time involvement in theatre, acting in productions of Macbeth and Cabaret and directing or assisting on a number of productions including Bug, Metamorphoses, and All My Sons.

Cooper is a Utah State alumnus who finds joy through performing. Whether it be on stage performing a play or performing with his band, Red Scare, there is not greater joy for him.  Well, okay, maybe cheesecake.  Cooper is so excited to be joining Achtung! and looks forward to a chance to spread his wings on stage in many different productions.

Ryan Pfister is a Software Developer by day and Actor Extraordinaire by night.  Ryan graduated from USU with a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems.  After graduation he lived in Chicago for two-and-a-half years where he enjoyed all the culture the city had to offer.  A newcomer to the theatre world, Ryan was thrilled to make his debut in ATC's production of Romeo and Juliet.  He has also performed as Lucky in Waiting for Godot and Kipps in The Woman in Black.  He is looking forward to the future opportunities with Achtung!

Allyson Carranza moved to Utah from Lima, Peru in 2005 and is currently working on an acting degree at Utah State University.  She has performed in many university productions.  Some of her favorite projects have included acting as Mrs. White in The Monkey's Paw and directing the one act play Wanda's Visit.  She is excited to pursue the new opportunities offered by Achtung!
